He enters from the canon at 15 years old when Sirius leaves the family.
Regulus is the second son of the most recent branch of Black Family Tree, a wizarding family of noble name and pureblood. He is brother to Sirius, the first son who is accused of betraying Harry Potter’s parents to Voldemort and murdering a group of Muggles to cover his escape after they’re murdered.
Regulus strives to be a good Black, meaning he detests anyone not of pure wizarding blood and noble birth, ignores anyone not a wizard and believes wizards should rule the world. He loves his brother Sirius, two years older than he, to distraction. However, Regulus does not go against the family and follow his beloved older brother out of the door when the latter leaves. Instead, he becomes a devout Death-Eater, follower and admirer of Voldemort, much to his parents’ gleeful pride.
If one had to describe Regulus’s personality, you could say conflicted. Meaning, he will do whatever pleases his parents, perhaps to his emotional detriment. He wants to be a good son and a good brother, but has not the tools to reconcile the two. Since he feels Sirius is not up to the task, he will do everything in his power to carry the family traditions.
Physical Description:
Regulus is six feet, pale, thin with longish black hair probably to his shoulders. He alternates between slouching (most likely when he is upset) and standing perfectly straight (the better to look down one’s nose when addressing inferiors). His eyes are the Black black, piercing but gentle in their depths. They light up whenever Sirius is around and become flat and almost sad whenever he is alone.
